This week we’re focusing on writing up the first version of the project brief. After the feedback received on our design idea made last week, we have chosen to change our subject due to the original one not fulfilling the assignment requirements. In the end we chose Spacific Plastic, a conceptual art piece by the late New Zealand artist Bill Culbert.

We have decided to develop our natural environment topic further by focusing on the relationship people have with plastic and how that affects nature instead. For this brief, we each have been assigned to a different section of the brief for best efficiency and equal group effort. I was assigned to specific aims with Judy, which focused on our objective outlook and approach to our potential design prototype.
To ensure that the goals and information are consistent throughout the project brief, it was important to read through other sections to maintain continuity. For the specific aims section specifically, we decided to do research in the role of art in advocating for natural conservation and implement UN Sustainable Development Goals into our values.
