DES241 - Week 6 blog

During the meeting with the whole team, we have composed a list of people to interview for field research. We made sure to include a wide range of professions and demographics to best provide insight on AR for our project.

This list consisted of:

• Art Gallery

  • Julia Waite, curator of the Bill Culbert exhibition

• ELAM staff/students

• Recycling companies, both council/private companies

• Students, Creative Art and Industries faculty and the broader university community

• People from Environmental Science, staff/students

• General public, visitors of the art gallery

Yasmin and I are in charge of contacting and organising online interviews. The two people I contacted this week were Julia Waite and a UoA natural environments professor. Julia Waite replied and is enthusiastic to answer our questions. I will be talking with her on Zoom next Tuesday. The professor also replied, but referred us to an acquaintance of his because he doesn’t work with art. Yasmin and I decided against contacting the person he referred to because although she is an artist who works with the theme of environmental sustainability, she is located in the USA, which is a bit too far removed from our project. Questions will be prepared and sent before the interview through email to Julia.
